90 min·4 servings
A long sweet pepper tapering to a point, usually red, with thin skin and a sweeter, more aromatic flavour than a bell pepper.
In German-speaking countries pointed peppers are in almost every supermarket; in English-speaking countries they are sold as Romano or Ramiro peppers in larger supermarkets, at markets and in Turkish or Eastern European shops. If you cannot find them, a red bell pepper will do, though it is a little less sweet and has a thicker skin.
Red bell pepper, slightly less sweet and with a thicker skin that stays tougher when braised.
