Hot pointed pepper
A fresh, elongated pepper, usually pale green to pale yellow, with noticeable heat that stops short of fiery.
Hungarian-style hot pointed peppers are easiest to find in Turkish or Eastern European grocery shops, often sold as hot pointed or wax peppers, and at markets in summer.
Substitute:
Mild pointed peppers with a little fresh chilli come close in flavour and heat, whereas chilli on its own would be too hot and lack the flesh.
